GLOBAL FORUMS ATTENDED

GLOBAL DIGITAL FORUM – RUSSIA 2025

The Global Digital Forum 2025 took place on June 5–6 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, bringing together over 1,000 IT professionals and entrepreneurs from more than 70 countries. Among them, over 20 delegates from Bangladesh proudly participated, showcasing the country’s growing potential in the global digital landscape.

The forum featured engaging discussions on artificial intelligence, fintech, cybersecurity, and innovation. These sessions offered Bangladeshi participants valuable insights and meaningful networking opportunities. Their active involvement underscored Bangladesh’s rising role in digital transformation and international technological collaboration.

8TH NEPAL-BANGLADESH YOUTH CONCLAVE HELD IN KATHMANDU, NEPAL, DECEMBER 18-22, 2024

7th Hongqiao International Economic Forum & China International Import Expo November 5–8, 2024 Shanghai, China

The Bangladesh International Youth Foundation (BIYF) proudly highlights the participation of its Treasurer, Mr. Abdullah Al Araf, at the 7th Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HIEF) and the China International Import Expo (CIIE) held in Shanghai, China.

Mr. Araf was invited to speak at a special youth-focused session co-organized by UNICEF and the Ministry of Commerce of China, titled “The Tide of Technological Advances: Innovation & Entrepreneurship by Youth.”

He shared his personal journey as a youth innovator from Bangladesh, highlighting the contributions of Bangladeshi youth in technology, climate action, and sustainable development.

His speech emphasized the importance of cross-cultural collaboration, the power of youth-driven innovation, and the urgent need for global platforms that support young changemakers. Mr. Araf’s inspiring presentation received global recognition and opened valuable networking opportunities, reinforcing BIYF’s mission to empower youth on the international stage.

Eurasia Global Conference 22nd – 29th September 2024 Orenburg, Russia

The Eurasia Global Conference, organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the Government of the Orenburg Region, and the Directorate of the World Youth Festival, brought together participants from over 150 countries in Orenburg, Russia.

Team Bangladesh proudly took part in this prestigious international event and earned significant recognition by being named the showstopper of the closing ceremony. This remarkable achievement not only highlighted their talent and dedication but also created a memorable and inspiring experience for the entire team.

Their participation showcased the strength and creativity of Bangladeshi youth on a global stage, reinforcing the country’s growing presence in international youth diplomacy and cultural exchange.

UNICEF imaGen Ventures Global Incubation Week August 26–30, 2024 Istanbul, Türkiye

The Bangladesh International Youth Foundation (BIYF) proudly announces the successful participation of its members, Araf and Rahat, in the UNICEF imaGen Ventures Global Incubation Week, held in Istanbul, Türkiye. This prestigious program brought together youth innovators from ten countries to co-develop sustainable solutions for the green and digital transitions.

Throughout the week, Araf and Rahat actively participated in expert-led workshops focused on business development, product innovation, and financial strategy. They explored Türkiye’s dynamic startup ecosystem and engaged with a diverse network of global peers, gaining practical insights and forming meaningful connections.

Representing BIYF and Bangladesh, they demonstrated the potential of youth-led innovation in tackling global challenges. Their contributions reinforce BIYF’s commitment to empowering young leaders and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Children’s Programme (MIACO) May 31 – June 3, 2024 Moscow, Russia

Miss Sabita Binta Azad Shifa, former faculty member of the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), Department of Social Work, and a research analyst, represented the Bangladesh International Youth Foundation (BIYF) at the MIACO Children’s Programme in Moscow, Russia.

She led the program alongside children from Bangladesh, contributing to a meaningful exchange focused on learning, cultural understanding, and youth engagement on an international platform.

World Youth Festival March 1–7, 2024 Sochi, Russia

The World Youth Festival was held in the Sirius Federal Territory, Sochi, from March 1 to 7, 2024. Team Bangladesh proudly participated in this prestigious international event under the leadership of Mr. Tareq Mahmood. The delegation comprised approximately 85 Bangladeshi youth and scholars from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, representing the vibrant talent and growing potential of Bangladesh on a global stage.

This landmark Festival brought together more than 20,000 participants, including heads of state, federal ministers, parliamentarians, public figures, and global celebrities. Alongside them were young professionals from across the globe representing fields such as journalism, political science, international relations, creative industries, sports, and more.

With representation from over 180 countries, the Festival served as a powerful platform for cross-cultural exchange, youth diplomacy, and international collaboration—solidifying Bangladesh’s presence in global youth leadership.
